Paul Smith, MS, ED
Paul is the current Executive Director at Strengthening Rural Families a nonprofit that supports parenting, education and health initiatives in rural Benton County. He is the present Chair of the Accreditation Council of the Association for Experiential Education. For 22 years he was the Program Director and COO for The Catherine Freer Programs. Paul also works as a consultant to individuals, organizations and businesses in the areas of organizational improvement, development, risk management and succession planning.
David Gazeley, BS
Dave is retired from Citizens Bank of Corvallis where he served most recently as Senior Vice-President and Main Office Manager. He is an active volunteer whose efforts have benefited numerous nonprofit and civic organizations. Dave has served in a variety of leadership roles and has been recognized for his significant contributions to the community.
Susan Poole, BS
Susan is a retired pharmacist from Oregon State University where she served most recently in the role of Student Health Service Relations in Student Health Services. She is an active volunteer whose efforts have benefited many nonprofit organizations. Susan has served in various leadership roles and has been recognized for her contributions to enhance nonprofits. She was recently named “Corvallis Senior First Citizen” for her significant community volunteer activities and accomplishment
Dennis Schultz, MS
Dennis has used his graduate training in information technology to assist Oregon K-12 public schools to use distance learning to enhance student curriculum and classroom teaching skills. He worked at Linn-Benton-Lincoln Educational Service District including 5 years as a principal of Cyber Oregon Online School (COOLSchool). Dennis serves as Director at Dallas Community School and has served on several community nonprofit boards.
Ketty Herb-Kalberer, MBA
Ketty has served on the staff of two nonprofit organizations. She also has been Director of Marketing for a professional association and served in a financial analysis position for a major corporation. More recently Ketty founded her own business that provides bookkeeping and financial management services for nonprofits.
Grady Goodall, JD
Grady is dedicated to using his legal training & experience to serve the nonprofit sector. His law practice was focused on nonprofit organizations and charitable giving. He currently serves as Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University.
Julie Jones Manning, MS
Julie is Vice President for Development, Marketing and Public Relations at Samaritan Health Services. She is an active community and service club volunteer. Julie also served a four-year term as Mayor of Corvallis, Oregon, during 2011-2014. She was named Corvallis’ Junior First Citizen in 1997 and Corvallis’ First Citizen in 2005.
Robert Poole, MD
Bob is a retired urologist who practiced at the Corvallis Clinic for 29 years. During that time he served as president of both the the Corvallis Clinic Board and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Staff. Bob’s nonprofit experience encompasses a broad range of professional and community organizations.
Larry Roper, Ph.D.
Larry has been a university educator and administrator for 40 years. During the most recent two decades, he served as Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Professor in the School of Language, Culture and Society at Oregon State University. His career also includes extensive board experience with more than two dozen organizations. He is presently a full-time faculty member focusing on teaching, writing and inspiring learners on-campus and beyond.
Dick Thompson, MBA
Dick has a breadth of experience serving the nonprofit community as an executive director, development director, board member and officer, and volunteer. Dick served as the development director for the Boys & Girls Club in Corvallis and executive director of the Benton Community Foundation. He brings insight on the link between the executive director and nonprofit board’s roles in providing organizational leadership.
Mike Corwin, BA
Mike has served as Assistant Vice President for Business Development and Public Relations at Oregon State Credit Union since 2004. He previously was Associate Director of Athletics and community liaison for the OSU Athletic Department for 23 years. Through these marketing roles he has been closely involved with nonprofits for over 30 years.
