On February 2nd, 2019, more than 250 nonprofit professionals gathered for the Center for Nonprofit Stewardship’s 15th annual conference, Guiding More Good. The morning began with a keynote presentation from Anne Kubisch, President of The Ford Family Foundation. Ms. Kubisch spoke about the importance of nonprofits as community builders and their many contributions to our collective quality of life.

The day-long event ran from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and in addition to the keynote presentation, featured three timeslots that included five session options each. Conference attendees received training in topics such as Employment Law 101 for Nonprofits; Capital Campaigns; Implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and the Basics of Grant Writing. CNS is proud to work with a diverse range of experts who contributed to Guiding More Good, many of whom contribute to other CNS workshops throughout the year.

The depth of knowledge of each presenter was significant. Their willingness to answer questions was much appreciated!

In addition to training and education, the conference serves as an opportunity for networking and peer learning. Attendees benefited from meeting representatives of other organizations, opportunities to speak one-on-one with conference presenters, and getting acquainted with resource providers who took part in the Exhibitors Gallery.

Thank you to all this year’s attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, and others who made this event possible. As our keynote speaker said, there is great power in collaborative work! CNS is honored to be a part of this work and provide an event for your collaboration and learning.
