February 29, 2020
9:30am – 5:00pm
CH2M HILL Alumni Center, OSU
The Center for Nonprofit Stewardship is always working to improve our services for nonprofits across the region. This year, we are excited to offer new, exciting changes for Guiding More Good. Here’s what you can expect in 2020:
Funders Forum: This session will have a panel of representatives from foundations across Oregon to speak on their requirements and priorities. After the panel, there will be a time for questions from attendees. This is a great opportunity to find funders that are right for your nonprofit, to introduce yourself, and to clear up any questions you have about the grant process. This session will be available for both Breakout Sessions 2 and 3. Don’t miss out!
Group Discount: When you register four or more people, you can save 10% off your registration fee! Just use the discount code GROUP on our registration page, click Apply, and you will see your total updated at the bottom of the checkout page. For a group of five, you’ll save $67.50 off your early bird fee!
Later Start: One thing that the evaluations from our 2019 conference mentioned was the fact that many attendees are traveling from out of town. For people who may be driving to Corvallis from afar, our keynote address will begin at 9:30am this year. Our keynote speaker is Jim White, Executive Director for the Nonprofit Association of Oregon.
Lunchtime Address on Changes in ORS Chapter 65: During a 1.5 hour lunch, attorney David Atkin from the Center for Nonprofit Law will discuss the changes in ORS Chapter 65 that go into effect January 1, 2020. This helpful talk will address how the changes will affect all Oregon nonprofits. See the tip sheet on ORS 65 that CNS, David Atkin, and others compiled for nonprofits.
New Venue: This year, Guiding More Good will be at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center, right next door to the La Sells Stewart Center. We’re excited for this larger venue to better accommodate more sessions and attendees.
Closing Session: After the third and final workshop of the day, we will reconvene for a final closing session. CNS’s Executive Director, Jenn Clemo, will facilitate some last networking activities before we disperse for the day.
We hope to see you in February! Early bird rates are only $135 until January 30th.
